S3 is a successful boot-strapped start up. And we're extremely proud of that. But sometimes, even the most successful ideas need investment capital. Capital to hire more staff. Create new products. Increase marketing campaigns. It's not always possible for entrepreneurs to wait for excess revenues to divert towards growing the company. So, yes, we're considering taking on some investment partners. "Considering" but not yet convinced.
Since S3 is a uniquely run business, we probably won't be an investment target for traditional venture firms. We need somebody who understands the value of what our employees and founders have built and accomplished. An investor that's not looking for a quick hit profit, but knows that a bit of patience will pay off a lot more handsomely. Our people have been very good about finding the right customers to deliver great returns on our work. And we’ll carefully scrutinize any investor relationship with the same rigor.
