What does S3 do?

Why the name S3, and what does it stand for?
S3 was created when four software professionals, including a couple of former U.S. Marines, came together to share their expertise in different disciplines. One of those Marines, Jack Holt, served in the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and saw action in Somalia. "S3" is a military term. While the "S2" is involved in intelligence work, the "S3" is the staff department which heads the operations of a battalion or regiment, charged with determining the most efficient way to move hundreds of people to achieve the mission at hand.
What is unique about S3's technology?
Recently, S3 studied the protocols of Toyota and other tested production techniques to create a completely new method for delivering software systems, which we call the S3 Production System (SPS). SPS delivers prioritized, immediate, and accurate results through the most efficient use of human and technological resources.
We also invented TeraMatch®--which enables us to customize and utilize several different algorithms to solve a specific customer challenge. TeraMatch® allows us to match and analyze data the way a human does. This provides for much greater accuracy in the process of algorithmic matching.
